The problem with peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is the most studied whitener and the most effective in the clinic. For home use it has two limits.

The first is sensitivity. 1 in 2 people notice it with at-home treatments, according to an analysis of randomised clinical trials (Rezende et al., Journal of Dentistry, 2016).

The second is legal. In the European Union, over-the-counter products cannot exceed 0.1% hydrogen peroxide. Higher concentrations, up to 6%, are only dispensed through a dentist.

Pigmentos violetas V34

Ayudan a eliminar, neutralizar y corregir el tono al instante. El violeta y el amarillo son colores opuestos. Al depositar pigmento violeta sobre el diente, el amarillo se neutraliza a la vista y la sonrisa se percibe más blanca desde el primer uso.

Fórmula PAP+

Blanquea sin necesidad de utilizar peróxido abrasivo para el esmalte o encías. El PAP (ácido ftalimidoperoxicaproico) actúa por oxidación sobre los pigmentos que el café, el té, el vino y el tabaco dejan en la superficie del esmalte. Su efecto es gradual y se construye con el uso diario.

Hidroxiapatita

Remineraliza y cuida el esmalte. Es el mineral principal del esmalte, cuyo uso dental parte de un método patentado por la NASA en 1972. Y citrato potásico, habitual en fórmulas para dientes sensibles.

Combinando estos tres activos en un solo producto no solo consigues mejorar la tonalidad de tus dientes de forma segura, sino que también los mantienes y los mejoras.

It's Complex to Formulate

PAP is harder to stabilise than peroxide, especially in a water-based formula. Many brands take the easy route.

Does PAP+ whiten as much as peroxide?
Not in intensity: in published studies, peroxide whitens more. PAP+ works on surface stains with less sensitivity, and in Purple V34 it's paired with a colour corrector you notice from the first brush.
Why doesn't everyone use it?
Because it's harder to stabilise and more expensive to formulate than peroxide, which is also the long-standing standard.
¿Sustituye a un blanqueamiento en clínica?
No. La clínica actúa sobre el color interno del diente. Nuestras fórmulas corrigen el tono y trabajan la mancha superficial. Son dos cosas distintas, y pueden convivir.
¿Qué significa el “+” de PAP+?
Que el PAP no va solo: lo acompañan hidroxiapatita y citrato potásico, pensados para cuidar el esmalte durante el uso.
Does it cause sensitivity?
Less common than with peroxide, but not zero: in one PAP study, 1 in 20 people noticed sensitivity after one use. If you feel discomfort, stop using it and see your dentist.
How long do results last?
The V34 corrector's effect is optical and temporary. What PAP+ does to the stain is maintained with daily use.
Where does your data come from?
From published studies, which we cite with their source. When there's no study on a specific product, we don't present it as if there were.
